It's a VTI / Blackhole thing to install plugins due to lack of a feed...

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

What is the Levi45 Addons Panel?

Its addon panel like Ts panel , Satvenus panel .

Mostly people use to install the updated plugins/addons from outside feeds.

This is the most compatible panel for Openpli releases .

Mostly the addons and plugins are tested by me and it has always updated and tested stuff. I use it because of its compatibility with Openpli images.

Zeer tevreden. Zie alleen bij gebruik USB poort ( eerst VU box afsluiten) voor inpluggen of uit. Anders een paars scherm.

Please communicate in English.

Regarding plugging and unplugging USB devices should always be done when powered off. I never have seen a purple screen.

Hi Good Morning all

I have tested

Vu+duo2

Vu+solo2

and currently testing Solo4k . I have never seen this kind issue. It must be local interface . try :

1. disable automatic screen detection in menu

2. check box's power supply .

3. hdmi cable

Paars scherm kan gebeuren als je per abuis de HDMI stekker er gedeeltelijk uittrekt...

A purple screen might happen if you accidentally unplug the HDMI plug partly.

Hi

Currently testing Openpli development and Open Pli release 8.0

During these tests I have found as the Openpli have migrated from old to new core . as number of binaries /libs/meta packges updated during it . we really need to update its feed server also .

Number of out dated files are there which creates dependencies errors as well . one by one its difficult to point out but the author of the feed server script should remove or update the current versions with them .

2nd major change need in script is the compatible skins

3rd  major change need in  softcams configuration files .

we really need it to update them .

if possible I can share the some of my own modified &  updated softcams config files already tested by me and currently these files are the part of the levi45 multicam manager to .

Thanks to support and Open Pli team for your hard work .

Can you explain what you mean?

I think you are referring to packages in the third-party feed. Those are ipk's users have asked us to add, we don't have the source, often the source isn't present in the ipk's, and nobody bothers to inform us they are outdated and a new version is available, or they don't work anymore and can be removed.

So if you have packages from those feeds that don't wotk anymore, please report them, and we'll remove them. It is probably best to open a separate topic for that here, to keep it separate from this VU+ topic.

Morning

No I am not talking about 3rd party feed . every body knows there are number of plugin panels available for it. but there is alot of risk of compatibility with the images .

I am talking about the official feed server . Not only me but also mostly people usually like to install plugins/adons from feed server . normally the user believes that the files in official feed server will be compatible with the image. chances of the crashes will be less than compare to other outer sources. I had already reported for it in this thread .

https://forums.openp...s/#entry1303980

Yes thanks for your suggestion I am 100% agree with you . This should be separate topic from this vu+ topic .

I shall try to open a new thread and share my tests .

Thanks for your help and support .

skins are a real pitty people create them but don't maintain them. I was wondering if it is useful to propose skin in the OpenPLi feed because this gives indeed the feeling that OpenPli is "responsible" for them.
Moreover some skin creator include some renders, it's well known that skins are the main GSOD cause. :-)

Personally I never test skins, I have done it in the past but I always return to the standard OpenPLi one. It is really the more clean and clear, and the skin which provide the most useful information. Every other skins always miss TP/SID informations. Yes I don't care to have analog clock, CPU temperature, Weather Information, Soccer results, etc... In the skin that I use. :-)

I don't know if it is possible but for every major release the skin feed should be empty. The skin creator can request to have their skin included back into the feed when they test it on OpenPLi. So all old no longer maintained skins will automatically dispared, a good way to clean them up

You are sending a wrong signal with the thread you create because this will let think that OpenPli will look at and fix the 3rd party skins.
Will you take the responsibility to fix yourself all the skin related issues? If so then you thread is legitimate but in the other case what will we do with all those reports?

The purpose of that thread is to record what doesn't work, so either the author can be informed, it can be replaced by a newer version (some are quite old), or it can be removed from the feed.

Yes I agree with you but the answer will in 99% of the time: please contact the plugin author. That's what I mean, since it is opened by someone with an official OpenPLi status normal end-user will think that it will be the right place to get support for not working 3rd party plugin.

I always try to turn my mind into an end-user and check how will I understand this.  ;)
