My problem is that if I rename the binary from "mgcamd" to something else (doesn't matter what), and than manually start it on the commandline, it crashes with "file or directory not found", like it wants to open itself for decompression or so.

If I rename it back, it starts without problems.

can't reproduce that, for me both 135a and 146 start successfully, regardless if/how I rename the binary:

I only tested the ARM version, maybe that behaves differently?

Ideally I would like to keep the version number in the binary name, so it stays possible to install multiple versions and switch between them in the softcam menu.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

hmmm...

So you can install multiple versions of mgcamd from the develop feed, and they all work for you?

I'm back to see how this is all going, there's a lot of talk in the last dozen or so posts that go straight over my head, sorry.

Are the three softcams, ie OSCam, mgcamd and cccam, now working in the latest release for the VU+ Duo 4K SE?

I would love to be able to put the PLi image on my STB :)

Oscam and CCcam always worked, this is only about mgcamd, which is updated. As I don't use it, no idea if it works. Test it and report back?
