Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

As I already wrote in another thread, only libs work with mgcamd and the symlink stopped working.

1) for libcrypt issue you need to install libxcrypt-compat package

2) for libcrypto you need an older binary, a simlink (libcrypto-compat provided) does not work anymore for ssl1.1 which not supports ssl1.0.0 version

version `OPENSSL_1.0.0' not found (required by ./mgcamd)

mgcamd started for me after above steps, not sure if it actually works though (last time used it like dozen years ago, don't remember how to configure it to get a picture using my my card ;-))

there was recently a topic on this in EN section with older libcrypto attached for arm
((!) if one wants to test this - be really careful not to overwrite current libcrypto1.1 which may happen when you overwriting the symlink - this can replace the target also (!) I suggest rename or delete symlink first)

Is installed by default by every mgcamd package.

2) for libcrypto you need an older binary, a simlink (libcrypto-compat provided) does not work anymore for ssl1.1 which not supports ssl1.0.0 version

Is a summary of what I wrote.

And I am not preprared to include an OpenPLi 6 binary (as in not compiled in the build) into this package, just because some people insist on using old crap.

// en sorry voor het antwoord in het Engels ;)

yes, I'm well aware of this, and fully agree with;
this hack with external foreign binary is rather only for testing purpose (or for some desperate user necessarily needing exactly this softcam for some unknown reason)

ideally, if maintainer/dev of mgcamd (which is reportedly still being developed) compiled it against current ssl1.1 version
in theory we could build openssl1.0 and add it to mgacamd's r/depends, but in my opinion it is definitely overkill for a single seldom used softcam (and btw I am not sure how the system behaves having 2 versions of installed at the same time?)

Grumpf, need extra reading glasses :(.

Where should that come from, we don't have a recipe for libxcrypt-compat?

Ok. check. Not a problem to add that as a dependency.
