I'll fire up my buildserver and see what ot does. I'll try the second one first.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

That gives "nothing RPROVIDES" on both the h9 and the vuduo4k build, so that doesn't work. Now trying your first suggestion...

And that works (or at least, that compiles).

Do you create a PR for it (so you get the attribution) or should I commit it?

Please go on and check about other manufacturers possibly influenced. Thx.

I'll test the possible simplification.

Are the Vu+ 4k models also needing libgles?

Ah, what about Gigablue, all is commented out.

There were no issues building the VU+ Duo 4K image, I checked that one.

I have no build environment for Gigablue ;). We'll see what happened tomorrow, after tonights scheduled builds...

It seems to me Zgemma needs some more appends, both for v3d and mali.

I could find some mali stuff in the OE-A patchset but I don't have the device...

About kodi's patchset for stb, I am comparing the files one by one...

OE-A does provide one more .cpp and .h for input and power man.

https://github.com/o...ort.patch#L6038

Could it be the missing piece? Why isn't it in our patchset?

If kodi runs on other models this could be unnecessary.

No idea, this is all way beyond my skillset. ;)

Most likely because nobody has ever bothered to look at kodi before, none of us uses it.

I need to revert the "zgemma" rdepends fix, it didn't fix anything. No idea why on my own build server I had no issue with the h9 build...

ERROR: kodi-1_18.9+gitrAUTOINC+0655c2c718-r0 do_package_qa: QA Issue: /usr/lib/kodi/kodi-stb contained in package kodi requires libGLESv2.so, but no providers found in RDEPENDS_kodi? [file-rdeps]

I don't understand why,

https://github.com/z...ddriver.inc#L11

But these zgemma do also need mesa and maybe there is some conflict..

If you prefer readd the INSANE_SKIP but this only masks the problem...

I agree masking the problem isn't a good idea.

But we need to do something, we need to branch off 8.1 soon, and we can't do that with build errors in develop...

If it is only a few machines I can try a build from scratch.

You could add again the INSANE_SKIP as it was but remember it influences *all* machines. Add a # FIX-ME for later :)

Don't worry too much, there is a lot of them around in the kodi folder / addons

Well, I see now that the Enigma2 Player is default.

The settings are       <defaultplayer>E2Player</defaultplayer>

AFAIS the internal player is libdvdnav-mipsel.so and imagine what, OE-A has a build patch for this...

Testing...

Argh,

I was updating the patchset and the recipe has changed under my nose... https://tinyurl.com/usmeksv5

I am adding some missing bits from OE-A hoping this helps.

Well, now about the changes in PR#964 ...please revert and redo step by step.

Some are wrong:

-gold breaks on mipsel

-the mipsel changes are just more lines, I had just cleaned that

- the LTO option is unrecognized  by CMake

-DENABLE_STATIC_LIBS=FALSE  is only in meta-kodi, not in OE-A

gstreamer...we don't have the gstplayer for the moment, let's add it once kodi runs

About the rest, seems ok but note that OE-A does manage FFMPEG in a strange way..see patchset..

https://github.com/o...b-support.patch

Cheers

A.A.

Something I just remembered, but I don't know if it is relevant: If somehow the dvbmediasink is used by Kodi , OE-A uses is a different one.
