Happy new year!

The older pyLoad 0.4.9 disappeared for the packages list in recent OpenPLi versions.

pyLoad is very convenient for batch downloading, my kids appreciate a lot the done job with it.

The version 0.4.20 requires PycURL, which package has also been removed from the packages list.

pyload-ng requires Python 3.

Please how do you manage to install pyLoad on OpenPLi 8? My receiver is a VU+ Solo2.

Again happy new year,

Excellent

just tested -

- pyload built just fine for me using our old 0.4.9 recipe*

- python-pycurl also (pyload depends on it btw)

* whether it actually works is another story ;-)

so, I think we can re-add them both to feed for current images possibly

(but I'm not the one who pull the strings on this 8-))

Neither do I, but if it works, why not?

You'll have to make sure this specific version is built and included, bitbake normally picks the highest version it finds.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Do not know if it works with the current version.
If I understand correctly, python3 is required via setuptools.
Depends would have to be adjusted.
The easiest would be the well-known pyload 0.4.9.

Times 0.4.20 built for mipsel.
Unfortunately, I can't say whether it works.
Maybe someone will give feedback and then I can ask for it via pull request in Pli git.

Thank you for taking the time. I really appreciate.

Please where can I download a version of python-pycurl for OpenPLi 8 that fulfills the pyload_0.4.9 or 0.4.20 requirements?

Thank you for your python-pycurl ipks. None of them get to be installed:

opkg install python-pycurl_7.21.5-r0_mips32el.ipk

Collected errors:
 * Solver encountered 1 problem(s):
 * Problem 1/1:
 *   - nothing provides libcrypto1.0.2 >= 1.0.2q needed by python-pycurl-7.21.5-r0.mips32el
 *
 * Solution 1:
 *   - do not ask to install python-pycurl-7.21.5-r0.mips32el

opkg install python-pycurl_7.21.5-r0_armv7ahf-neon.ipk
Collected errors:

opkg list | grep libcrypto1

Unbelivelably libcrypto1.1 is not recognized as higher than than libcrypto1.0.2

Above was solo2, so you need mipsel ipk.
Thought the pycurl was on the feed, so I submit it here.

Excellent. Works like a charm with

  • python-pycurl_7.43.0.3-r0_mips32el.ipk
  • pyload_0.4.20-r0_mips32el.ipk

Thank you so much for your help.
