Hello everyone and thank you for your hard work. My vu plus zero v1 no boot with openpli 8, but it works with 7.3. Thank you so much for the support. Hello everyone!

Thank you for your answer. Only splashscreen appears on video. You don't start gui. The Decoder can be reached via ftp.

If the box is accessable via frp or telnet, it has started the OS. Dp you see the OpenPLi start screen, or only the VU+ start screen?


Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

only splashscreen on the video. i see no gui interface and the remote does not respond. telnet and ftp work. I don't know how to be more precise.

Maybe the flash is too small?

don't know but I tried to install the latest black hole as well. the file to flash is about 110 mb and it works ....

Not sure what you mean by this. When the box starts up, it should show you a VU+ logo.  Then the operating system starts, and it should switch to the OpenPLi logo.

 

If telnet works, you should be able to login, and check what is going on. My 2ct's is on Enigma crashing, for example by a no longer supported plugin that was restored from your backup.

Same here. I flashed openpli 8.0 stable from 15 and 8th Feb on factory new Vu+ zero with the same result. Telnet is possible. Enigma2 isn't running. Starting Enigma2 from the prompt -> Segmentation fault. Openpli startscreen doesn't appear only vu+ startscreen appear and stays for ever.

Currently my Zero runs openpli 7.3. I needed to check whether the box is running or not. Maybe I can do some further checks with openpli 8.0 tomorrow.

VU drivers are not loaded or crashed.
What does dmesg command show?

Strange. After second and third reboot (muliboot) it's working now. The box is booting normally. I didn't change anything.

 

Now I'll try to upgrade the flash version 7.3 to 8.0 stable...

Now I'll try to upgrade the flash version 7.3 to 8.0 stable...

Even stranger. After flashing 8.0 over 7.3 first reboot stucked in vu+ boot screen. Output of dmesg was empty.

 

After power off, power on box booted normally without any issues.

No glue what happened but I guess there's no issue with the image(s) in generally.

With multiboot I have not tried. I made a new flash with the v.8 and again you only see splash screen image on screen and it doesn't go on. The openpli background is not seen. Currently I mount 6.2 without problems. I'm not too technical to test.
