Hello everybody,

I'm opening this topic because I cannot have my old VU+ULTIMO equipped with its original RLT8192CU dongle working with OpenPLI 8 image.

At first initialization wizard, it says "no internet connection".

Then accessing "Network - WLAN connection" page on the menu, I can activate the wifi connection and it starts working.

After a while, with no apparent reason, connection stops and accessing "Network - WLAN connection" page, I find "Use interface" OFF.

No way to turn it ON again, if not rebooting the STB.

Then the story starts again.

I tried:

1. to reinstall image

2. to update image once installed

3. to install RTL88xx drivers direstly from the PLUGIN menu (not finding the RTL8192)

4. forcing TELNET installation of kernel-module-r8192u-usb and firmware-rtl8192cu.

No way! The story is always the same. :angry:

Using other images, e.g. the original Open Source or OpenATV, the RTL is recognized and works properly. But I'd like to use OpenPLI. :)

Can someone help me solving the problem?

Thanks in advance.

@WanWizard

Forgive my ignorance. What / where should I look to?

If you can login, type the command "dmesg". If not, menu - information - about, yellow button, and then you can use <- and -> to navigate through the different log and info screens. dmesg is one of them.
