Checked on the image OpenPLi 8.0(VU+solo4K/Zgemma H9 twin).

1)Blindscan OK(tested 13E)

2)Recording OK(two recordings HD services from two tuners simultaneously)

3)Multistream DVB-S2X OK(tested 4.8E)

4)Unicable LNB OK(tested Inverto IDLB-QUDL43-UNE1L-OPP)

5)Stream OK

6)Rotor OK(tested Stab HH 100)

7)PiP OK

So far there is a problem with automatic detection of the second tuner, but the manufacturer(Sundtek) promises to fix it in new drivers.

Is C band blindscan supported?
What are the lower and upper symbol rates for this tuner? I cannot find any specifications for it.

Thanks.

sorry it was updated for a long time already but I didn't have time to look it up. The Controlcenter needs an update for the dual tuners

[SERIALNUMBER/1] (slash 1) will address the second tuner in the configurationfile

[SERIALNUMBER/1]

dreambox_support_fe1=on

this will automatically register the second tuner.

So the update is needed in the controlcenter now.

Blindscan is supported with all satellites (in the driver, it works with some enigma2 flavours Dimitrij for sure knows more about that)

Symbolrates are supported from 1Msps up to 45 Msps.

For blindscan DVB-S need use blindscan plugin for all based openPli/O-E images.

For blindscan DVB-T/C need use standard scan for all based openPli/O-E images.

You also need:

[U201009191237]
dreambox_support_fe1=on

this will be Tuner 0 (the connector opposite of the power supply) initial_dvb_mode is not needed for DVB-S/S2

I could use a good usb tuner, and this model looks very nice.
The 1Msps to 45 Msps is a bit disappointing because we have transponders above  45 Msps now.
If the blindscan feature has not been improved over previous models, then blindscan in this tuner will not be any good for North America.

Can you give me an example for a transponder which requires support for a higher symbolrate?

I think the backcalculation to c-band is not implemented in the previous blindscan and that's your problem no?

67w ku currently has 3 transponders with a 49000 symbol rate. I will not be able to get those transponders with your new tuner.
Blindscan performed poorly here on ku band with your previous models. So the c band backcalculation was not the problem. I have a 3.6 meter Prodelin dish for c band and 2.4 meter Prodelin dish for the ku band. Blindscan is a feature that I need to find feeds and new channels.

I'll ask the engineer next week, according to the driver I see almost 60msps but we cannot test that our signal generator only supports up to 45msps.

But I see other issues there, the TS multiplexer is only tested up to 110-120mhz (which is already pretty good). Hardware Filters are available though.

I am thinking pretty much any DVB-S2X capable tuner will go up to 60msps. I am very interested in this dual tuner, but if it cannot do what I need it to do, then there is no reason to purchase it.

Thanks.

Does this tuner work on kernel/driver level or on application (emulation) level, like earlier Sundtek tuners?

It uses the same infrastructure as the previous tuners. It's not much of an emulation the data is read via the linux USB interface - decapsulated and directly forwarded to the settopbox tuner interface.

Hi

This tuner works and does blindscan on DM900 in OE 2.0 images

There is no such thing as OE 2.0.

It is an abriviation invented by Dream and means OpenDreambox 2.0, which has no relation to OpenEmbedded 2.0.

Besides that, remarks like this aren't really relevant, as they bear no relation to OpenPLi.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Or I understand it, but I also have an OpenPLi image installed on DM900

There is no OpenPLi for any dreambox, except the DM8000. You're using a non-official clone, not made by us.

Only images downloaded from our website are genuine images,
