I have 2 Xtrend boxes- upstairs an ET10000 wit harddisk and downstairs an ET7000 without hard disk. My ET10000 runs OpenPLI (Release 7.3). My ET7000 was running Openvix, but I had problems and decided to try flashing it with the latest OpenPLI image (Release 8.0).

 

On the newly flashed ET7000 (Release 8.0) everything is running OK except the display of the EPG. I want to set this to be similar to my ET10000 with the present programme displayed on every channel in List mode, but have not been able to do this.

 

On the ET10000 (R 7.3) the menu item "Setup: System: EPG has several items, including "Show EIT now/next in infobar" 

On the ET7000 (R8.0) this menu item has only 1 item "Show EIT now/next in infobar"

 

Has anyone suggestions as to what I am doing wrong?

I have managed to turn on expert mode in setup and the relevant EPG menu items are now visible and"Show EIT now/next in infobar" is turned on.

 

However, although I see "now" and "next" for the EPG for the channel that is being looked at (bottom left corner in List mode), there ate now multichannel entries in the channel list itself or in the graphical EPG display.

Did you install EPGimport plugin on your ET7000 with rytec source, then configure it with the country you want the EPG from.

Thanks for the tips. Pressing the Txt button changed something, but didn't produce the epg on the list mode. 

 

I have installed the EPGImport on the ET7000 just as on the ET10000, with the same sources, including IPTV through E-Channelizer. In list mode the programmes for the relevant channel are visible on the bottom left of the screen, but not in the list. Not sure that the folder for the epg cache is listed correctly.

 

I have now connected the ET7000 (R8.0) as a slave to the ET10000 (R 7.3) and this works OK.  Maybe I'll leave it this way.
