Help, im not tech minded but I need to convert cccam lines to oscam.

Apparently my stb was running oscam before I had these new cccam lines.

I can just about remember how to put the lines into my vu but I definatley dont know how to change them to oscam and put them in.

I dont mind paying if somebody can help me, I have team viewer.

The more I watch tutorials the more confused I get, ive been trying for weeks.

Well, it is quite simple to explain, as long as the C lines connect to external devices instead of a local server (like another STB somewhere in your house), so connected and only accessible via the internet, it is illegal, in that case the support will stop here.

 

If you install oscam from the feeds, you don't need an explanatioin how it will work, different examples are available for CCcam and CS387x as well, you can find them in /etc/tuxbox/conf/oscam/ but it is also possible to access and control the config via port 8081 on your box.

You pay criminals for a stolen service. The official content provider(s) don't see a penny...

I dont understand how freeview is stealing. I havent got an ariel so I use my dish. I dont see the problem

FreeView comes in two variaties: FTA and FTV.. FTA is not encrypted and needs no decoder, FTV needs a card with minimum package. You pay a monthly subscription fee.. Many use a C-line to 'enhance' their basic channels which is illegal. Instead of paying £80 per month to the official provider, the £80 is payed for access to a server for a year's access. Some even think that because they pay it's fully legal!! Which is really stupid..
