I think you have failed to undestand what a Full Band Capture tuner card does, and how it works.
An FBC tuner card can run into two different modes:
- Unicable/JESS mode, where every tuner is assigned a unique SCR, and can receive every transponder independently of other tuners.
- Legacy or DiseqC mode, where the card emulates a twin tuner card, with 6 additional internal tuners in loop-through mode.
From what I understand, you are using the second mode.
This means that for each of the connected cables (connected to the A and B tuner), once they have tuned to a transponder, the quadrant the transponder is locked to determines which channels the remaining tuners can see. This is because of the way a standard LNB works: it needs to switch between High and Low, and Horizontal and Vertical.
So yes, you could record 8 channels (and even more) simultaneously, but they need to be on transponders in the same quadrants as locked by tuners A and B.
If you don't want that restriction, you need to switch to Unicable LNB's.
To give an example:
if Tuner A is tuned to BBC One HD (on 10847V), that same cable can be used to tune BBC Two HD (same transponder, and will use tuner C) but can not be used to tune BBC Four HD (on 11023H), because the polarisation is different. Assuming the second LNB points to a different satellite. If you an LNB looking at 28.2 with two outputs, tuning BBC Four HD would select tuner B on the second cable.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.
