Vu+ Zero fresh install with OpenPLI 8: How can I get the HbbTV-Applications to work? Each time I try it says that Browser isn't running. I try to start it with "1", but obviously it doesn't start. Message is "HbbTV Browser was not running".
Did a fresh install again, just to be sure I didn't miss anything.
Is that a problem in general with Zero, or is it just me?

I have it too on 8.0 VuDuo2 I suspect there is a plugin missing

It is a general problem, the vendor, in this case VU+, hasn't maintained or updated their HbbTV software in years...
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

HbbTV is (in Western Europe at least) a passed station. Many countries have ceased HbbTV altogether in favor of their own Apps. Apps need a login and a payed subscription and that’s all they want!!

HBBTV works fine on original VU+ image and on OpenATV (For DUO4K)

Hi,
4K boxes are not the problem as they use chromium for HbbTV. Problem is mainly/only on FHD boxes with opera.

HbbTV needs an Enigma interface, and VU+ hasn't maintained that for us for years either. And as it is supplied as-is, in the BSP, we can't maintain it.
OpenATV has stolen an implementation of one of the vendors, and made that available for all others. Since HbbTV software is closed source, under license, we will not lower ourselfs to those practices.

Chromium doesn't work either, as soon as you press the red button, the plugin crashes (imho due to enigma incompatibility).
Same root cause as for the Opera implementation.

Not on 8.0 now to which I upgraded last week. On 7.2 it worked OK

I got HbbTV working after installing `enigma2-plugin-extensions-openopera` on my DUO².
`vuplus-opera-browser`was pre-installed, I did not remove it.
