Rofl.

Then Enigma should be adressed first, at the moment it can't even properly load-balance 2 modules...

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Well, yes and no... The HW should be able to address all ports and the software (Enigma2) should be able to differentiate...
Two identical CAID's is enough to get its knickers twisted :)
DMM 9x0 already can physically address the CI ports, the Duo4K could also (NOT the SE!!)
There is hope :)

2 tuners both dvb-s2x and 1 terrestrial, 1 CI, 1 card reader, usb, lan and easy to use ( don't need rocket science to operate) must be able to use (oscam) softcam files as well as CCcam for future. I have been looking at the newer dreamboxes like the dm920?

Depends on whether or not you want OpenPLi on it. We don't do dreamboxes anymore, since they went closed-source.

For more germans that have a subscription to sky need 2 CIs for being to be able to watch one channel and record one other channel... so I can imagine DMM did a better job in their drivers and f#cking closed source enigma2 binary blob (which also includes some of openpli’s work) so we are left with non optimal driver implementations on different platforms....
In near feature we do not need 8 CIs (how expensive will such subscription be?):. As currently providers turn to their own platform hardware devices without smart cards and CIs... which forces enigma2 being EOL at some time...:

Germans don't need two SKY CI modus to watch and record. They use delayed decoding to perform this task. Being German myself, most use the SKY module in conjunction with the FTA public HD channels.. Problem with delayed decoding is that you don't know when OP keys change! If it happens during the encoded recording the delayed decoding fails....

Delayed decoding is still not implemented in E2, and even if it was, you need hardware that supports it, and not every box does.

Has anyone had any experience with the newer dreamboxes. What are the VU boxes like to use?

I doubt you'll find many dreambox owners here, we don't make software for them...

I've never had any issue with a VU+ (from my first, the Duo to my last, the Duo 4K). Especially liking the Bluetooth remote since IR access to my box is blocked by furniture.
