Hi!

I have a Vu+ UNO4K HD se with OpenPli 8.0 that I recently flashed to play my IPTV channels. I have installed EPGimport and the EPG was working fine for like a week. Then without me using the box it suddenly stop showing the epg data. I have two different EPG sources for two different bouquets and none of them shows up anymore.

EPGimport does find the events when I manually download the EPG but I cannot find any epg.dat file in my box or installed internal HDD. Why doesn´t EPGimport create a epg.dat file?

Here is my logfile from EPGimport:

I think you don't understand the purpose of the epg.dat file.

It is only a backup file, it is created when you restart or shutdown the box, and read back when it starts. It serves no other purpose. It is not used by Enigma to read EPG from, so why should EPGimport create it?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Ok, then I misunderstood it. But why is my EPG info not showing up? Where is it stored? Maybe I can check that the files exists? I tried re-install EPGimport but that did not solve it.

EPG is stored in memory

With the above info, I cannot tell what went wrong.

It seems that it imports something, but from this info I cannot tell where it has gone.

Most likely yout bouquet entries are not lnked the the correct chanel-id in the XMLTV files.

But this info is in the userbouquetfiles and in the used channels.xml file.

It looks like this is not Rytec EPG.  That is fine.  you can use what you want.

But then I can even tell less.

In order to troubleshoot this, I need:

1. Contents of a userbouquet file.  You can replace server, username an pasword with dummy values.

2. Contents of the sources.xml files in etc/epgimport

3. Contents of channels.xml files, especially the custom.channels.xml file.

Also check the time and timezone on the box, if that is wrong, no EPG will be shown either...

I used e-channelizer to assign each EPG channel to the right TV channel and I had no problem with it before. When I do a read from box in e-channelizer I can see that my channels still have the EPG assigned to it so there should be no problem with that. But here you can find the files you need for checking if everything looks right. I did not provide you with the second IPTV list since that one is created automatically using IPTV Bouquet Maker.

OK.

In your echannelizer source file you define this:

channels="/etc/epgimport/echannelizer.channels/rytec.epg.xml"

But you did not provide this file.

The I can see you use the rytec.sources.

Instead your provided the file EPG_Provider Name.xml which the same structure as the needed channels file (rytec.epg.xml)

However these do not link to the rytec channel_id's for epg.

<channel id="1785.honeybee.it">  is no rytec reference.

Some assignments have gone wrong.

The service reference assignments seem to have gone correct.

4097:0:1:2:0:0:0:0:0:0: is the service ref in both the userbouquet file as in the channels file for SVT1

I have modified the channels file.  I am not going to do it for a larger number of channels though.  That is up to you.

The result is attached.

Copy this file to your receiver in /etc/epgimport/

If you have already a custom.channels.xml file in this folder.  Copy the contents of the attached file to the list in your file.

Since Rytec provider is built in to E-Channelizer it will automatically include it in the file. Even if you add your own. However I used your file and got Rytec EPG to work. Since that one worked I suspected that something was wrong with my EPG provider which came to be true. My provider had updated their system so my auto subscription renewal was not working. For some reason I was able to download the EPG file anyway but that one was old and not updated and that is why epgimport found events but did not show them. Thank you guys for your help, you saved me a lot of time since I was about to re-flash and start from the beginning.  :)

E-channelizer is doing semi-automatic what I did here manually.

However it E-channelizer is not 100% succesfull.  Some tweaks are needed.

You probably ran into one of the problems.
