Hey there. I'm trying to figure it out how to vertical align Name and Description in channel selection. You can see on my screenshots how it's not vertical aligned, and I can't find it where to edit that. The only thing I can edit is the font type and size:

serviceNameFont="Regular;34"

Any ideas?

have a look at PLinight

<widget name="list" position="780,108" size="1110,900" itemHeight="45" transparent="1" serviceNumberFont="Regular;34"
			scrollbarMode="showOnDemand" serviceInfoFont="Regular;32" serviceNameFont="Regular;34" serviceItemHeight="45"
			picServiceEventProgressbar="window/progress.png" progressbarHeight="15" progressBarWidth="60"
                        progressPercentWidth="80" colorEventProgressbarBorder="un33333a" fieldMargins="15" nonplayableMargins="15"
			colorEventProgressbarBorderSelected="darkgrey" colorServiceDescription="yellowsoft" progressbarBorderWidth="0"
			foregroundColorServiceNotAvail="#656565" backgroundColorMarked="#656565" colorServiceDescriptionFallback="yellowsoft"
			colorServiceDescriptionSelectedFallback="yellowsoft" colorFallbackItem="#aaaaaa" colorServiceSelectedFallback="yellowsoft"/>

could be itemHeight, serviceItemHeight

I don't think that's it. There is only one of those, and both Name and Description are in that widget, so how could I know to which one I apply that Height?

Nope, none of that helped :( I still can't change the location of those lines in the channel list. I can't believe this is so hard, it tought it should be easier than this.

You have more choices here.
valign = "top"
valign = "center"
valign = "botom"

<widget name="list" position="780,108" size="1110,900" itemHeight="45" transparent="1" serviceNumberFont="Regular;34"

            scrollbarMode="showOnDemand" serviceInfoFont="Regular;32" valign="top" serviceNameFont="Regular;34" serviceItemHeight="45"
            picServiceEventProgressbar="window/progress.png" progressbarHeight="15" progressBarWidth="60"
progressPercentWidth="80" colorEventProgressbarBorder="un33333a" fieldMargins="15" nonplayableMargins="15"
            colorEventProgressbarBorderSelected="darkgrey" colorServiceDescription="yellowsoft" progressbarBorderWidth="0"
            foregroundColorServiceNotAvail="#656565" backgroundColorMarked="#656565" colorServiceDescriptionFallback="yellowsoft"
            colorServiceDescriptionSelectedFallback="yellowsoft" colorFallbackItem="#aaaaaa" colorServiceSelectedFallback="yellowsoft"/>

könnte auch an deinem Font liegen, ist vielleicht versetzt, nimm probeweise einen anderen Font zum Testen

Tried it, didn't change anything. Here's my code:

<widget name="list" position="20,65" size="1180,810" valign="center" scrollbarMode="showOnDemand" enableWrapAround="1" foregroundColor="#ffffff" foregroundColorServiceNotAvail="#999999" colorEventProgressbarSelected="#ffffff" colorServiceDescription="#afafaf" colorServiceDescriptionSelected="#ffffff" serviceItemHeight="45" serviceNumberFont="Regular;26" serviceNameFont="FjallaOne-Regular;34" serviceInfoFont="NewsCycle;30" backgroundColor="bgbutton" backgroundColorSelected="#000000" selectionPixmap="Amala/menu/button1180x45.png" transparent="1"/>

And I have attached 2 screenshots, one with the setting "top" and one "bottom". As you can see there is no difference in the result. It's like that widget code isn't working at all. But I know it's working, because I can change the font type and size. I don't get it...

Check my screenshots. These are with Regular font. One setting is "top" and one is "bottom". As you can see, no difference. It looks better, it's centered, but the code doesn't work, and I don't like that default Regular font.

Also wierd each service name has a dot behind it.... our code doesn’t do that!

WaveFrontier 28.2E | 23.5E | 19.2E | 16E | 13E | 10/9E | 7E | 5E | 1W | 4/5W | 15W

That "dot" thing is not the skin's fault, it's the settings list that did that.

This is based on the MX Graphite skin by Matrix10.

load the font in font editor, you can see if the vertical alignment centered is or not, just load an another font for compare, you could edit the font and save it, maybe you can do that for all letters at once
