OpenPli 7.3: 2 gravierende Mängel

Hi!

Ich habe eine GB Quad 4k, seit einiger Zeit probiere ich verschiedene IMGs im Multiboot.

7.3 läuft sehr sehr gut bis auf 2 Probleme:

 

1. Die USB FP wird nicht angezeigt bzw. nicht gemountet, die Rede ist von automatisch

2. Der WebIf bzw. die Box ist von aussen per VPN nicht erreichbar

 

Alle Imgs die ich getestet habe haben die o.g. Probleme nicht,

Was könnte denn die Ursache dafür sein?

Das mit dem Mounts wird im pli etwas anders gehandhabt.
Zum einen würde ich dir den Filecommander als Plugin empfehlen.
Zum anderen das Systemplugin Mountmanager.
Damit solltest deine Platte nicht nur finden, sondern auch problemlos dorthin mounten wo du es wünscht.

VPN kann dir ja keiner helfen.
Dein WEBIF ist direkt zu erreichen und dies ohne besondere Passwortvergabe.
Aus meiner Sicht ist das ganze Passwortgedönse auch eher fragwürdig bzgl Sicherheit.

 

Mit Sicherheit gibt es keine gravierenden Mängel

Soweit  mit bekannt ist, benötigt man für das openwebif auf jeden Fall ein Passwort, wenn man aus einem anderen Netzwerk als dem eigenen zugreifen möchte. Zusätzlich gibt es einen Schalter im openwebif, ob der  User root auch von einem anderen als dem lokalen Benutzer ein Login macht darf

 

Beides sind Dinge, die das openwebif Plugin so hat und ist nicht begründet im openpli selber.

 

Bei mir klappt das Mounten von USB HDDs sehr gut. Man kann den HDDs z.B: Labels geben, damit der Mountpoint bekannt ist. Oder klassisch mit der /etc/fstab und der  UUID der HDD arbeiten, auch das funktioniert sehr gut.

Vielen Dank Leute!

Ich bin sehr verwöhnt von anderen Imgs wie HDF und andere wo alles mit automount funktioniert. Aber gut das wäre nicht das grosse Problem, interessant ist ob nach jedem Update wieder zu machen. Das mag zu Testzwecke ok sein, komfortabel ist es aber nicht.

Die Frage Nr. 2 wo kann man dieses WEBIF-PW vergeben für den VPN Zugrif? Ich dachte sobald VPN steht ist man quasi intern im Netzwerk, es kann nur die Funktion mit dem Schalter die freigeschaltet werden muss, damit das ganze auch funzt. Ich werde es mir ansehen, danke für eure Tipps nochmals! :)

Zum Thema HDD:

Am einfachsten sollte der automount beim openpli gehen, wenn man auf der linux Kommandozeile mit

e2label

einer HDD ein Label gibt.

 

Mit

blkid

kann man seine HDDs alle auflisten und sehen, welche es gibt,.

 

 

Die HDD wird dann beim nächsten Booten automatisch nach /media/label gemountet, egal auf welchem /dev/sdx interface die eingebunden ist.

 

mit der UUID kann man das in der /etc/fstab auch fest einstellen, wenn man nicht mit Labels arbeiten will.

 

Zum Thema Passwort:

Ich habe bisher auf der Linux Kommandozeile immer das passwort für root vergeben mit

passwd

Ob es auch mit der GUI eingestellt werden kann, kann ich dir gar nicht sagen.

 

Mit VPN ist man nicht immer in dem Netzadressbereiche des lokalen Netzwerkes. Normalerweise muss der Traffic ja über den Router, der das VPN bedient, geroutet werden. Oft werden dazu Adressen aus eine anderen privaten Netzwerkbereich genutzt.

Beispiel. Dein lokales Netz ist 192.168.1.x mit Maske 255.255.255.0, dann kann es durchaus sein, dass für die VPN Verbindung dann Adressen aus z.b. 192.168.2.x genutzt werden. Wenn man wirklich mittels VPN eine Adresse aus dem lokalen Netzwerk nutzt, dann muss der VPN Router zusätzlich zum Routing auch die Proxy ARP Technik unterstützen, damit die Pakete überhaupt in den VPN Tunnel geschickt werden können. Klassisches IP Routing arbeitet eigentlich ohne Proxy ARP und daher wird dann für VPN ein anderes Netz genutzt. 

Daher kann es dann gut sein, dass das OPENWEBIF dann einen Zugriff von einem Client sieht, der nicht im selben IP Netz steht.

 

Hast du Infos, ob der Zugriff mit VPN bei dir eine Adresse aus einem anderen Netz als das lokale Netz verwendet?

OE-Alliance Image sind anders strukturiert.

Von Updates rate ich weder im pli noch im OE-Alliance Images ab.
Das führt immer wieder zu merkwürdigen Fehlern.
 

Lieber neu flashen und die Weiderherstellung der Einstellungen nutzen.
Einmal ein pli Image einrichten, dann kannst du dies immer so machen.
Du wirst feststellen, das dies dann kinderleicht ist.
Pli mountet auch automaitisch.
Genauso wie im OE-Alliance Image klappt das aber manchmal nicht dahin wo man es erwartet.
Kann man dann natürlich manuell lösen (fstab uid..)
Aber gerade weil du vom HDF her verwöhnt bist, dachte ich das ein Plugin die bessere Wahl ist.
Wie gesagt der Mountmanger löst sicher dein Problem.
Neustart nach Zuweisung nicht vergessen!
Diese Einstellung wird auch gesichert.

Also keine Angst das machst du nur einmal und dann brauchst es nicht mehr.
Was das VPN angeht...
Ich kann einfach (egal mit welchen Passwörtern man meint die Box angeblich zu sichern) niemand empfehlen die Box von außen via Webif zugänglich zu machen!
Das ist grob fahrlässig.
Das Webif ist was für interne Dinge und dafür braucht man kein Passwort.
Ich kenne die Diskussion darüber schon ewig.
Das Passwort täuscht einem nur eine fragliche Sicherheit vor.
Wenn es also ein gravierenden Mängel gibt, dann überhaupt die Idee zu haben von außen auf die Box via Webif zuzugreifen.

Aber ist nur meine Meinung;-)

Habe gerade mal beim openwebif die Authentisierung ausgeschaltet und dann taucht dort noch ein Schalter auf, mit dem einstellen kann, ob auch über VPN (also aus einem ggfs anderen privaten IP Bereich) der Zugriff auch ohne Passwort gehen soll. GGfs ist das noch ausgeschaltet gewesen beim TE

Danke für die Lektion bzgl. Mounten, ich denke ich nehme das Plugin, bin leider nicht so der Linux Kenner.

Da ich eine Fritzbox habe nutze ich deren inkludierten VPN. Alle Images die ich bis dato getestet habe haben keine standartmässige Sperre wie beim PLI. Wozu auch immer? VPN ist ja sicher und man tut nur übers webif fernsehen. Da ist kein PW od. irgendeine Lücke wie bei Portfreigaben gesetzt. Ich möchte das Potential des Servers nur ausnutzen wenn ich mal auf Urlaub bin und ein Fussbalspiel sehen will. Habe unglücklicherweise die Box mit PLI im Multiboot am Laufen gelassen und den Ärger im Ausland gehabt. Wie gesagt mit HDF nie so etwas erlebt, aber man kann nicht genug probiert haben.

Ich werde am WE wieder etwas testen, danke für eure Hilfe vielmals!

wollte  wegen ständiger   abstürze beim Booten  aber i.d. R nur 1x und dann gehts  a von 7,3 auf 8,0 updaten hat er  aber nicht gefressen , habe  das teil auch erst wieder durch flashen  auf 7,3 zum laufen bekommen hier  mal wovon ich keine Ahnung habe :::

Old image… as far I can see this issue should be solved in between… we still don’t understand what issue you experience with 8.0 or develop?
