I have Extrend ET-9000 set-top box and Open PLi stable release 8.0. Kindly guide me how to show volume bar on screen ?

Forget a config on your box.... this is not the place where you should fix this!
Search for the manual of your tv and set the tv to show the picture pixel by pixel.... without the (small) zoom in for the overscan (most likely the place where you can select letterbox, movie, 16:9, 4:3 etc...)
Once set the input from the TV properly you also get a better picture quality!
