We imported from openvuplus the libvugles2 libs:

 

SUMMARY = "shared library for E2 animation"

AFAIS these are used in other OE-A forks to add the 'uianimation' fature.

 

I personally don't miss any ui animation but someone could desire that feature.

We did indeed not implement it as it is a big ‘hack’ in enigma2 without any real added value.... those moving osd inserts without any real goal may make you nervous and gives a slower feeling response... better keep it lean...
