If you flash the box with the standard image using a USB stick, it should erase everything in flash.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

I don't own a H9 SE myself. But others have.
Please define "not working". What exactly doesn't work?

Simply flash a new unpacked recovery image which you have unpacked on an USB stick.
If this succeeded you can flash a regular packed image which is placed on the stick too.
Via the recovery mode you can perform an online flash or a local flash. After this you can boot that specific image and set it up properly.

The H9 has nothing in common with the H9 SE, they are two different beasts. The H9 SE is a multiboot box, the H9 isn't.

Download both files from the OpenPli website (or also Android version if you like).
Do NOT unpack these files but copy the files to your USB stick.
Place USB in the box while power off.
Then turn on the device at the back en press the power button from your remote control and hold it till the box is in flash mode.

That is not fully the correct way to do it.
The correct way is:
Download both files (recovery and image) from the OpenPli website
Do NOT unpack these files but copy these zip files to your USB stick.
Place USB in the box while power off.
Then turn on the device at the back en press and hold the power button from your remote control till the recovery menu appears
Now flash the recovery zip first
Repeat procedure and flash the image file to 'linux slot 1'
After flashing, the box will restart in the recovery menu. Now select 'linux slot 1' for starting.
As far as I know an android image flashed into the android slot cannot be deleted. When you want to flash another android image, just flash it and it will overwrite the excisting one.
