The original question by Search40 is: Try to recover above box to factory to get rid of android and enigma 2 image

So he wants tro wipe the android image.

So I do not understand this solution ?? Ripristina il sistema Android in Zgemma H9S SE.zip

This is just the standard procedure and it does NOT get rid (wipe) the android image. Directly from factory no android image is installed; when you install an android image there is (to my knowledge) simply no option to delete it totally, Once installed, it stays installed.

What happens if you flash the recovery image, and recreate the multiboot partitions?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Android image stays.

(To be sure: you mean with unpacking on stick and then flash with flash-button pressed)

The strange thing is when you click the menu button for a linux based image, there is a delete function. But when you do the same for an android image, the delete option is missing.

Then it's a matter of finding the partition on which it is installed, and manually mount and wipe it?

p.s. I don't own a H9 SE, so I'm only thinking out loud... ;)

The E2 image delete routine just renames enigma2, so doesn‘t actually wipe the slot and then is shown as an empty slot in the menu - hence its recoverable by a rename.

But why would you delete Android?
When you only use partition 1 for OpenPli there are still 3 partitions left to use other images.
And there is enough free memory on this box.

That is an uncompressed dd image I assume?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

I think is a ".img" file only... Just 1 file.

The uncompress folder, I tried using cp -a /tmp/andr/* /media/sda1/andr_files (mounted before).
