at uclan ustym4k pro  could you do to include the another remote controller use?
what was given with the uclan satellite receiver is very annoying as each button clicks,

I have an et10000 satellite receiver,
on settings I can set it to use another remote controller, other than the factory one, such as Vu+, dreambox, formuler, zgemma

the other on ustym,
if I set up timeshift recording, no matter after how many seconds, minute to start,
and no save after chanel change,      the chanel change it go very slowly, (in the background i think deleting) test also on the free channel,

the device used is usb3 to sata adapter and ssd,
on multiboot 7.3 and 8.0 tested.

If the option is not in the menu, the drivers of the box don't support it.

 

I can reproduce the slight zap delay when I timeshift on the SD card, but no idea what causes it. It is not the delete, files are moved to the trash can, not deleted, exactly to avoid this problem.

 

Do you have trashcan disabled? Check the background delete speed (which is used to delete files from the trashcan)?

the more remote controller option is not on menu,  the driver come from factory?
we can't made? on usr/share/enigma2/rc_models folder exist many type but you say no driver, ok i understood


the timeshift I tested new again and the device used is wrong,
on usb2.0 slow speed devices makes problem,
tested on sd card sandisk class 10 ok, with and without trash, maybe after I make backward, stop, live watch channel changed and litebit slight,

another what come now during testing and now I remember on setup -system -gui settings -user interface  I use show columns but is only 100, 200 ->1200 pixels wide,
it could be 100, 150, 200, 250, max 600 is enough,  me I can write on some file which contains this settings?

The drivers are supplied by the manufacturer, no source code is available.

 

You can define the path used for timeshift under expert settings, recording paths.

 

And no idea, I am not a developer.

The Ustym 4K Pro is almost for 99% the same box as the Octagon SF8008.

This one also has the same annoying remote!

Both are great boxes but the standard remote is a nogo.

 

*Does someone know if it is possible to select other remotes with the SF8008 in menu "Input Device" ?

And both identical to the Gigablue Trio 4K and the (not supported by OpenPLi) Amiko Viper 4K .

 

Same story, drivers don't support alternative remotes.

For octagon exist one new model and who knows what type it is, clicks or not,

me same I use dreambox remote controller for ET receivers, on VU+ only the old version, becouse vu start to use on new type same clicks,  and I'm annoying from this
