Hello,

I have installed OpenPLI 8.0 a few months ago. All was fine for several weeks. But I regularly update OpenPLI to last release. And since about one month now, I have an intermittent issue : some days, all is fine. Some other, I loose picture and sound for a few seconds, then it comes back. And this happens every minute or so. Sometime, rebooting the Gigablue helps, sometimes I still have the issue ...

At first I replaced the HDMI cable, but it did not help. Then I tried to change of HDMI connector on the TV, same thing, didn't help.

So I tried to let the Gigablue boot on its original Gigablue image instead of the OpenPLI, and then it works fine.

So it does not seem to be a hardware issue, but a problem with OpenPLI 8.0.

Am I the only one to have this intermittent black screen issue ?

Is there something I can do to solve this ?

Is this a known bug which will be solved in a next release ?

Thanks !

Never heard of such an issue.

When this happens, dus the channel stay tuned, or does the reception drop to 0% / 0db?

No issue with a CAM module? If using a smartcard, did you check the softcam logs?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Thanks for your answer. When the black screen issue appears, then I cannot do anything as it is clearly a video output loss.
