That was my guess.

I think that the plugin repos are the same for 8.0r and 8.1r. When using 8.0r you (probably want to) use the "system time" plugin (because it's not built-in) and, when using 8.1r, you simply dont't need this plugin anymore.
That's why this plugin is still in the feed to make it available to 8.0r users.

I've removed it in develop for the next release.

Hello everyone, I have installed Openpli 8.1, but I have the problem that when I enter Blind scan I get a green screen and my stb restarts.
I have an Edision Os Mio plus 4k
Post a crash log error.
Recently I completely rewrote the plugin code, maybe I was wrong somewhere.

Hello,
I was under open pli 8.0 on v + zero 4k, and of course by making a software update request in parameter, it was indicated to flash to install version 8.1.
But through plugin, software manager and software update, he updated me with the installation of more than 400 packages ...
Now I am under 8.1 without needing to flash the receiver. All my plugins are therefore present, everything seems to work well, no need to reinstall a backup.
Is this a problem?
Posted 8 September 2021 - 11:42
Yes.
Due to the fact we've lost the PR database, all version numbers for the 8.1 packages have been reset. Which means you're missing about 200+ packages that were not updated because their version in the feed is lower than what was already installed.
The warning isn't there for nothing.
You can fix it on the commandline using
opkg list-installed | while read f; do opkg install ${f%% *} --force-reinstall; done
which will reinstall everything regardless of the package version.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Thank you, I ran the command line, it took a little while but all went well, I restarted the vu+ and everything seems ok.
Can I leave it like that or should I do a full reinstall as a precaution? ( when I'll have the time and the courage... )
Posted 8 September 2021 - 14:11
No, you can leave it like this, you have now effectively updated all packages to the latest version.

After install my tbs drivers to test TBS 5925, I have edision logo only (osmini4k and 8.0 stable version).
Now, I'll try to install develop usb version (force mode).
I need to know the difference between 8.1 and develop. Before crash/stop on logo, no way to do software update (message to install new image)
Thx

OMG....
After recovery by USB, I lose all my multiboot images.
I will never use the USB version in recovery mode again, as it erases all memory.
The boot is very complicated for osmini4k.
After insert multiboot version by USB, I need press "menu" button after restart (yellow button) to choose any slot to boot.
But it was too late as I lost everything.

Afaik that is true for all multiboot capable boxes.
Flashing the recovery image will erase and repartition the entire eMMC, and reinstalls the recovery menu.

About EPG :
Sommething is strange.
If you do a manual transpondeur scan on Astra (with the option clear before search), the new found channels have only MHW EPG (2 programs).
EPG from "EPGImport" plugin isn't loaded.
From DUO4K with the last release.
Regards
I cannot confirm you report.
I am watching M6 go into the search menu and perform a manual scan of this TP with clear before scan selected. I start the search;
In the last scanned I saw all the discovered channels and EPG is still present and also in the favorite where the channels are the EPG is still there.

MHW EPG does not exist in Europe anymore. You mean EIT now/next.

I perform the same test on this TP (the one with Canal+) and no problem I have kept all the EPG data. If you lost the EPG after a scan it means that the service reference have changed but it is not for the TP you mention.
Just Canal+ Family is rebranded Canal+kids.
Or you perform your scan at the same time as you load the EPG data with EPGImport and the delete before scan is set, so you think the scan delete the EPG data but it was you EPG import running.
