Up to yesterday, Kodi ran perfectely on a Maxytec - Multibox SE

Now DRM input does not work anymore.

It seems that the version of Widevine installed, is not supported anymore.

(f,i livetv from m7 TVV and CDS)

Can anybody confirm this, pls?

Can there something be doen about this?

Content which does not require Widevine works properly.

Can anyone confirm that Widevine is not working anymore om Kodi - OpenPLI?

Or do I have to conclude that I destroyed something on my receiver?

I am using OpenPLi develop (2021-08-23-develop) on the Maxytec

It was working after I flashed this.  No updates has been ran since.

Yes mipsel is known.

But this is a HiSil receiver.  (Athough Kodi reports it as an ARM receiver).

Hisi is ARM.
As far as Kodi is concerned, you can always get the corresponding Widevine from the WWW and then activate it again for a few weeks.
It's really not worth it.
Far too much pointless waste of time.
For what?
It's way too much effort for me to run after it.
Kodi in itself is a huge construction site, even installed on the corresponding sticks.
Porting to e2 receivers does not make it easy and also only works buggy.

Flashed OpenPLi 8.1 in an empty slot on the Maxytec.

Clean install.  Nothing restored.

Installed and configured Kodi.

Same result.  Widevine does not work anymore.

I really, really want this.  When it worked it was fine and much better than the apps on android for Livetv from TVV and CDS.

Also VRTnu, VTMgo and GoPlay worked painless.

Now.  Bummer......

I am very sad and disappointed.

How?  Tried to reinstall Widevine (both versions) in Kodi with no result.

I agree it is a never-ending-story....

what do you think about unifying the 'V3D' naming with OE-A?

We should send the patches to several BSP's and finally remove kodi_18.inc.

The BSP need patches for the new overide syntax and for the tune files now in subdirs.

Hopefully with one single round of patches we can have an unified base.

Cheers

A.A.

P.S.

OE-A's kodi-patchset is maybe more advanced but such large patches should be forbidden...

Are you saying that all Kodi installations come from the same place?

And so it is of no use to try another image such as OpenATV?

@A.A.

The individual BSP will not take care of the project.
You have to be happy when they put the right drivers into their own boxes.
In this respect, the current solution is better to maintain.
That's my opinion.
Although it is really difficult to compare things to look for mistakes.
But once you understand the structure, then it fits.
I am happy when existing structures are not changed so often.

I was dreaming we can push commits and have the BSP carry one or maybe two lines for kodi.

See i.e. meta-gfutures is already 'compliant'.

https://github.com/a...1683a0399136300

For OpenPLi HD-Digital decided to use a different naming

Maybe we can ask him about this.

The inputstreamhelper has been updated now.

Re-installing Widevine now accept the most recent version.

However Widevine does not work yet on the Maxytec.

I think still something missing.

Is fixed.
Perhaps
A.A will port that from OE-A to develop.
It takes a time.

It takes me a little longer because I first have to look through the structures.

Is python3 not available in the develop version.

At least I see some evidence of it.

It was not "blocked" as such.

Only the Widevine version used was an old one, which Google deactivated.
