you didn't cover all the changes performed by Captain, he does 3 commits today not just one.

https://github.com/o.../commits/master

so build is still failing.

Please note that recipes that used to move .py files to "-src" package, they are not working any more!

Eg.

RDEPENDS_{PN}-src += "${PN}"

FILES_${PN}-src = "${libdir}/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/YouTube/*.py"

Yes, it makes sense to be unhappy, we used to compile all those years .py files to .pyo files.

With python3, now files are still compiled and moved to __pycache__ folder.

There is still a way to bring back py to pyc on same folder: python -m compileall -b .

Yes, I know, and that would be my preference, but I got objections as "this is not the python3 way" and "it is deprecated", even when the manual explicitly points to this option for embedded systems that don't require source.

The image is still far from usable.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Is there a chance to add "Zgemma H9 Twin" to the list of builds for python3?
