We could still optimize a bit, but maybe someone else will get in test with solo4k?
But I can send a PR with a changed defconfig

The media player is currently working very poorly. Almost every time you jump to another part of a movie or recording, OPenPli restarts. Also still no "video_1"etc are not recognized. So I don't know if this has already been done?

I can only reiterate:

 

if it is a proper DVD copy, the player works fine on BCM boxes (and that includes all VU+). It has issues on HiSilicon hardware, I wouldn't be suprised if it uses gstreamer components.

 

Please show the contents of the entire VIDEO_TS directory.

You cannot raise or change a directory in the standard media player in PLY. I can't really do it on the VU solo 4k and also not on my other box uno. Have now placed VTI on it and no problem. So I used the file explorer. With that you can go to the VOB files but you always have to manually go to the next VOB file. But I'd like to know if I'm the only one who suffers from that. Probably considering the vieuws.

I don't know exactly what kind of files you have there.
A local copy of the DVD files is always displayed and played directly with the DVD player.
That works with the VU + boxes as well as all other bsp layers that have accepted the PR.
That it works with VU + had also confirmed @WanWizard.

From my point of view, it has nothing to do with BCM or gst. It just depends on the creation of the required 'lib'.
I built it for myself for years for sh4 and pure libeplayer.

 

Please just test again from the develop and once without taking over the settings.

what is with dvds without menus, are they playable ?

Neen DVD worden niet herkend. Wel met explorer de vob files.

Video_TS niet te lezen , in de map VTS_1_1 etc alleen te lezen c.q. te afspelen met file-explorer wel.
