Still can't reproduce it.

 

What do you mean by "go to the DVD file"? If you have a directory structure like:

- My DVDs
  |---- DVD1
  |     |----- VIDEO_TS
  |          |----- VIDEO_TS.BUP
  |          |----- VIDEO_TS.IFO
  |          |----- VIDEO_TS.VOB
  |          |----- VTS_01_0.BUP
  |          |----- VTS_01_0.IFO
  |          |----- VTS_01_0.VOB
  |          |----- VTS_01_1.VOB
  |          |----- VTS_01_2.VOB
  |          |----- VTS_01_3.VOB
  |          |----- VTS_01_4.VOB
  |          |----- dvd.cuts
  |---- DVD2
  |     |----- VIDEO_TS
  |     | .....

When you press "Ok" on "My DVDs", you should see "DVD1" and "DVD2" as directories.

 

When you press "Ok" on DVD1, OpenPLi will detect it is a DVD copy, and will start the DVD. You will never see the individual files that make up a DVD.

 

I'm guessing you use some third-party media player that doesn't support DVD's at all, if you can see the indivudual files. In which case you have to complain with the author.

I use the intern mediaplayer from PLI. It do not work on Solo 4K even whit the advance mediaplayer.

Do not use internal mediaplayer. Try using filelist/pvr button. I do not what button it is on VU rc. Recordings button? Regards,

 I used that the same problem. Perhebs there is a plugin? But still it's PLI isue ore VU solo 4k problem.

I googled this item and it is a long problem whit PLI.

DVD are protected so if you copy the files from a DVD to your HDD this shouldn't work. You need to use some tools to remove the DVD protection. When playing the DVD press yellow button or audio there you will see the subtitle selection (yellow button). Sorry for the hard words but i put my prive DVD on the harddisk (2 Tb) from the VU. I now it's forbidden to copy DVD. Sorry for my words.

I think you interpretated the reply in the wrong way

 

nobody forbids you to copy DVD’s, Pr2 only mentioned the fact that original DVD’s are protected against illegal copying and that that also could be the reason why your DVD wouldn’t play.

No thats's not the problem, even Windows RIP's DVD. But my maked DVD will not play after copy to the harddisk from the VU. Vu do not read the file video_ts as a video file! It see that as a directoy. That's the problem. Even iso and mp4 4K avi etc. are no problem. And I asked my friend and he has the same problem whit his VU and PLI .

1. Yes oke. 2. I see only blach screen whit a line start and and end. But wont play , also the sceen show "time ...." So PLI can't read it.

3. No I use the inside player from PLI.

What do you expect? Nobody can recreate your problem. Even owners with exactly your box have no problem with DVD. Then it is obviously a fault with you locally that we cannot detect. Conversely, a number of receivers have now benefited from it. It hadn't worked for many before due to missing modules. The problem has now been resolved. Regards

So have the 8.1. PLI flash on my VU+solo4K. And yes the same problem. Can't play copy DVD.

To humour you, I've just flashed my Solo 4K with 8.1-release.

 

The DVD copy (VIDEO_TS) mentioned above plays fine, menu works ok, I can select chapters without issues.
