@Dimitrij,

Can you make a PR for that?

@geisivi

is that on a develop or an 8.1-release image?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Sorry to hijack this thread but i have the exact same issue since version 8.1 on a Formuler F4 turbo - please see attached the crash log in debug mode - if that helps.

Let me know if you require further details.

When did the GSOD appeared? In other words ‘what were you doing’.

Until now I never experienced a GSOD when setting up my rotating dish with USALS.

Hi

Simple, i go to Setup, Tuner & Scanning, click on Positioner setup, nothing happens for a few secs, then comes the GSOD (I can try to provide a video if needed)

For the record, it never happened with the previous version of openpli

I also tried to uninstall/reinstall the plugin but it did not make any difference.

if needed i can also attach the plugin.pyo

If you are using develop, update sw. It was fixed some days ago.

Just realized i'm on the test build forum (sorry, i ran a search and found this topic) but i'm using the stable release posted on Sept 30 and this is the version i'm having issues with.

I guess i could reflash the box in case sth got corrupted but i'd rather not do it if possible.

30. sept. it was fixed in release 8.1 too. Then update it - just update, may not flash.

Reflashing did not fix the issue - i tried USB flash with the latest stable Fomuler F4 turbo image -which somehow says Sept 28 on the boot screen. - but, positionersetup crashed (same as previous) -

I ran an update/upgrade to have the sept 30 version (same).

however, i have a question, since i did not want to start the tuner config from scracth i backed and re ftp the settings file stored under etc/enigma2

can this be the cause of the issue (an entry that kinda make the plug in crash)?

When it was fixed 30. september, then it cannot be in image from 30.september but in some later ... as I saw, it will be in 5. or 6. october, when build will be finished. When build will be finished, then make update only.

Or you can place this attached file to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/PositionerSetup/

Then restart GUI and after it ui.py file can be removed (will be there ui.pyo yet).

I tried with ui.py but even after GUI restart, plugin still crashed - i'll wait for the next update then.

I'm glad to see it seems to be a fairly common issue.

many thanks to y'all for your feedback/assistance/suggestions.

The current 8.1 build is a test build run. If that succeeds, the next build will be a public build.

It must work. Problem is, that ui.py there is missing => is not created ui.pyo

You mean in the current image?

Tried now (H7S) - in release 8.1 <= 30.09., because fixed was 28.9. and image build started 27.9.

Btw - enigma2 is not pinned in release 8.1 reporef.conf ?
