Didnt I have to change the permissions of the file mt7601Usta.conf and eventually reboot the receiver?

No, permissions are fine.

I see I made a mistake, option should be options in mt7601Usta.conf. Then reboot the receiver, just to make sure.

Even rebooting it no HWaddr right?  :(

A stupid question... For the wlan work should I have to "remove" or discard the LAN connection in Enigma?

:( Too bad... I learned some more about this mt7601 kernel module, it supports several chipsets, among which mt7601 and rt28xx. Apparently that is why the mt7601 kernel module is loaded and the rt2870 firmware. But the rt2870 is not listed on the OpenPLi wiki as supported. So I guess your best bet is indeed get another WiFi stick that has a supported chipset.

No, they can coexist. But you might have routing issues if they're both connected to the same network segment.

IT is slighlt off topic, but why not use a WiFi bridge? They sell for €30. Connect to your LAN port and go. No mess, no driver/kernel Hassler.. Just a one time programming on a PC or laptop....

Thanks for your tip but 30€ it's arround 1/3 of the receiver value... I think it's not worth :(

I will have to know a brand/model of a wifi pen that is fully compatible with this receiver/image...

Anyone who have a wifi pen can please provide here that information?

Thanks

..... a wifi bridge is compatible with any receiver, so sounds pretty good value to me.

Hello again...

Have just tested another wifi with other chipset and it's working like a charm!

Chipset: Ralink RT5370

Amiko WLN-860/870/880 all have this chipset and all work without any problem...

With the chipset Ralink MT7601U... it's no worth :(

Here's the info just in case...

Thanks to all for the help given on this topic.

Cheers!
