That looks ok. So you did have a backup somewhere?

Yes found in movie folder trash.

Was it in a folder called backup, because I reckon autorestore looks for backups in /media/*/backup

It scans all storage for backups, not on directory name, but on backup filename.

I think it gives you 20 seconds to respond, otherwise it defaults to yes.

I know ;).

As Littlesat replied, restoring a backup is the default (as 99% of the people would want that after a flash), and it will only prompt for it when it has found one.

There is no way some backup is restored if you dont want it to.

If you don't restore, the setup wizard starts, asking for screen resolution and language, etc. If you don't get the wizard, the answer was yes. Perhaps selected "no", but not pressed "ok"? Or the press didn't register?

The first question should be if you want to restore… maybe you have a backup from another image that interferes?

You need a hdd or USB pen attached afaik. Storing a settings backup in the flash memory of the box doesn’t make much sense.

Indeed likely a ‘faulty’ backup hat is restored…

So it must be something else wrong
