Yes, but that will write the output to the console. If you want to have it in a file too, use

ENIGMA_DEBUG_LVL=5 enigma2 | tee /home/root/debug.log

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Sorry, this is no log with level 5 and you removed and plugged the module several times. This makes it really hard to understand what you did.

Can you please do it again. Please no space before and after the =

init 4
ENIGMA_DEBUG_TIME=1 ENIGMA_DEBUG_LVL=5 enigma2 | tee /home/root/debug.log

Please remove the module and zap to an encrypted channel. Then execute the above statements. When e2 runs, insert the module. Wait until picture is visible. Then zap to an unencrypted channel. As you said the box should only show a black picture. Then stop e2 with ctrl+c and post the log file.

You need to redirect the output to a file Add > /media/hdd/mylog.txt at the end of your debug command line. When test is done press ctrl c and publish the created log file.

Then start e2 with the command. Wait until it has automatically zapped to an unencrypted channnel and then zap back to the encrypted channel. Then insert the module. Wait until picture is visible. Then zap to an unencrypted channel. As you said the box should only show a black picture. Then stop e2 with ctrl+c and post the log file.

I cannot reproduce the problem with my quad4k and my CI+ module. But I use builtin SAT tuner and you as far as I understood a cable tuner. So maybe a driver issue.

Nevertheless please try the attached e2 binary.

Please install latest develop image. Then unzip the attached zip file. Put the enigma2 file to /tmp. Then do the following:

init 4
chmod 755 /tmp/enigma2
/tmp/enigma2

And test whether something has changed.

You can stop e2 by pressing ctrl+c. And then with "init 3" you can start e2 again for normal use.

Apparently Network.py wants to do something with /etc/resolv.conf and it has no permission to do that.

I also have a T2 tuner (don't know at the moment, whether it's the exact same tuner) in my quad4k. I have a ci+ module for dvb-t2, but no valid subscription. I can try to test, whether I can reproduce without valid subscription. But it needs some days.

I have tested with my quad4k. A TT3L10 tuner is inserted and I have activated my subscription (dvb-t2).

I can watch encrypted channels and zap then back to non encrypted dvb-t2 and also dvb-s channels without issues.

Maybe the provider sends a CAID. Please zap to such a channel and go to menu -> information -> service -> ECM info(green). Is there a ECM Pid shown?
