Dear all,

I'm new here...

I get a second hand vu+ zero and I flashed it with OpenPli 7.3. The receiver work, but I can't get a FTP access.

I tryed WinSCP and FileZilla, switch off the AV too, but without success. The network adapter of vu+ is working and I can see the IP address.

Can somebody help me and advise me how to get this access.

Thanks!

Welcome !

Out of the box FTP should work fine, as long as you use FTP and not SFTP or SCP, and you use a tool that can handle users without passwords (which is different from a blank password).

If your tool requires a password, you need to set one first.

Either login to the box with telnet (not SSH !) and use the passwd command, or install the changepassword plugin and use the remote to set a password.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

I don't know. I never use ftp (always scp), and I never have anything without a password ;).

I use Filezilla and don't have a problem. Double check your settings. I just use the defaults.

You need to define a password to enable SSH to use scp.
