The splitter remark I made was in relation to Unicable, where it is normal to use splitters.
For legacy setups, you'll have to be careful with LNB power, besides switching issues. It is possible (I've used a provider box without DiseqC support on a multiswitch this way), but make sure you know what you're doing !
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Unicable is not designed for a motorised dish. You are not meant to have two receivers connected to one motorised dish. However, you can make it work provided you move dish back to the position you have set unicable on. Draw a picture/diagram of what you are intending to do, your initial description sounds almost right apart, but best to avoid confusion.
How many legacy/universal outputs does the LNB have?
Have you tried the blind scan on the Duo 4K while connected to the universal port of LNB?

The LNB is a GigaBlue Ultra Unicable SCR-LNB / 24 SCR - 2 Legacy UHD. The problem is "I am not allowed" to add an extra cable to the legacy outputs and my main receiver "the vuplus" does work fine with the current setup which uses a unicable setup. I just wonder what would happen (even though this is indeed not a correct practice) if you connect the cable from the lnb to the splitter and from there make one connection to the zgemma and another to the vuplus? Will this give magic smoke when both receivers try to drive the dish to different positions? Can I adjust a setting in the zgemma such that it never can perform such an action and just "listens" to the signal available for the position which the vuplus has driven the dish to? Would adding a DC-blocker in the cable for the zgemma be something to consider?
