I noticed in my channel listing that some channels is listed twice but the duplicate channel have an exclamation mark before the name.

What causes this and how can i fix it?

The exclamation mark shows it's a new service. So, you scanned a sat and it found new channels. If you press MENU in the channel listing you will see an entry to "remove all new services" which will only remove the exclamation mark.
Why it's double, I don't know. I think the channel is really twice on the satellite.

no - I suspect he has background scanning enabled or did a manual NIT scan and as many channels differ by as low as 1mhz from that listed in the satellites.xml we use, it will cause this issue. This has been going on since Pli emerald and even now in Jade2 on the DM800 today (and all releases in between)

It is not a bug, the dm box is doing what the software is telling it to. So modify your satellites.xml file to reflect the new TP details and this dual listing will go away.

As a side note: lyngsat list plus or minux +/- 5mhz of the true TP details.
