By default some hotkeys have a hotkey-menu-list with several list-items (see attached image for example).

 

Most list-items in the hotkey-menu-list are on number-keys (here in example the number-key 1 to 5).

 

But some are by default on "color-keys" (here in example all four are used: red, green, yellow and blue).

 

When I do Hotkey Editing (as described in https://wiki.openpli.org/Hotkey ) I can only assign list-items to the number-keys.

 

My question:

Can I add hotkey list-items and assign them color-keys? E.g. by manually editing the settings file (config.misc.hotkey entries)?

Kn the context memu pip has the color buttons and the we should keep it this way!!!
And Maybe item 10, 11, 12 and 13 become color keys in a hotkey choicelist.
Why do you think color buttons in the hotkey choicelist might help…. I’m afraid it made thinks even complicated.

Exactly as @littlesat writes. These buttons have special functions in the case of set-top boxes. Be sure not to use these colored buttons as hotkeys !

 

Some RCUs also have special keys for this purpose. Isn't that your case too ? For example, Formuler set-top boxes also have additional function keys on the RCU ("F1" - "F4").

 

Isn't it better to invoke QuickMenu in your case ? And then add what you need, just to it. I don't remember how it's done anymore, I'm sorry.
