There is no sound since the latest update in openPLI 8.1 including some gstreamer updates when I try to watch movies downloaded via Mediathekview and converted mp4 to ts containers. This used to work until the update and now there is now sound anymore. Any idea how to solve this?

Upgrade from what to what? When? Which box?
There is no development happening in any release image, bar the occasional bug fix. So it is unlikely a code change has triggered this.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Hi,
did you enable downmix for AAC? Most TV and AVR cannot handle this format.
