Let me run the log again and see if we get the same thing.

I get this: usb 1-1.2.2: USB disconnect, device number 5 When the ATSC tuner is asked to scan.

This image has no channels. There are no errors such as: au0828: send_control_msg() Failed sending control message, error -71. until the ATSC tuner is assigned some task such as scanning.

Both ATSC tuners were connected:

The receiver boots and starts up to line# 787. Then nothing happens for about 30 seconds until I start the ATSC tuner scan. The next line after the scan starts is this:
 
usb 1-1.2.2: USB disconnect, device number 5

looks like a usb power issue, can you test with a usb hub with external power ?

My apologies!
I have ran other receivers with two Hauppuage tuners on the same no-powered port without issue. This receiver is different. Will remember this in the future!

No choice of ATSC/DVB-С in the tuner settings. There never has been a choice for this.

There is a choice for DVB-C in the ATSC.xml file. This choice shows up in the tuner options. I will try to check DVB-C operations with someone else. I do not have DVB-C cable.

The attached screencaps are showing the SF8008 using two terrestrial antennas aimed in different directions. 3 ATSC tuners are installed and working properly for our terrestrial channels. Automatic ATSC tuner switching between channels is made possible using the SLOWZAP plugin by Dimitrij. Notice the tuner letter changes with the channel.

ATSC USB tuners now work in the Define kernel 4.4.176! This fixes receivers Octagon SX88v2, uClan ustym4ks2ottx, and others.

OE Alliance made several ATSC commits on August 2 and August 4. I was hoping the same or similar will be added to OpenPLi.
