I have noticed that different boxes are hanging while watching RAI1 HD (13E). I have verified this on VU+ zero 4k, VU+ zero and Gigablue trio 4k. VU+ zero was with OpenPli7.1 while 4k with 8.1. Sometimes happens after few minutes and sometimes happens after few days. And when it freezes there is no activity at all just a frozen picture and box does not respond.
I have not tested yet if when a box freezes other boxes freeze at the same time or not.

A bit difficult to test as I can't have a box tuned into RAI 1 HD for days. But no issue in the last 15-20 minutes.
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)
Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Did not notice it happening again. Maybe they had some transmission problems. Will post back if it reoccurs.

Happened again twice today.
I noticed that even though channel is not encrypted there is some activity on oscam as below -
Not sure if this is the problem but when the box hangs there is still activity on the LAN leds. Box is still inaccessible though.

I can confirm that OScam doesn't like that much watching RAI HD channels but you need to try to get support from streamboard (the home of OScam) or check on some Italian sat forum to get support.
OpenPLi is building OScam for its feed but they are not maintaining code and bug fixing it on itself.

I was watching RAI2 HD which was broadcasted in FTA and OScam just become totally unresponsive and I don't have TivuSat so I cannot test with it.
Anyway it was just a test to try to reproduce Moonwalker and it seems that indeed when you don't have TivuSat card Oscam gets into trouble.

CAID 0000 looks weird indeed.
Try to exclude it in oscam with these lines in a file called "oscam.services" :
[RAI]
caid = 0000
provid = 000000
And then, add this line to oscam.server :
services = !RAI
Restart oscam and see if it happens again.

I'm testing this issue since December and now I have two boxes to freely test, I can be sure (after a lot of tries, either with a box already "equipped" or with another when I started from scratch) it happens:
1) Only if you have VPS installed.
2) It now happens only on Ultimo4K and not also in Solo4K after the last VPS update.
3) Oscam has nothing to do with it: I tested it even for more than 24 hours, during which the box was on Rai1HD.
But the problem occurs ONLY on those RaiHD channel which have gone FTA since 14th December 2021, probably temporarily: Rai1HD, Rai3 HD, RaiSport+HD and others.
So, it's a paradox: Rai has no VPS system but VPS causes problems only on those channels.
In all other regularly encrypted Tivusat channels, I've never had any freezes.
When I found out this fact, I went back and forward many times to have confirms, and it is so.
I'm now testing a different VPS binary a friend sent me but, by this binary it is not able to record in "pure" VPS mode for those channels, like the Swiss ones, where it has always worked.
I'm now trying to be sure if, at least, this different binary is able to work at least in safe mode.
But, after hundreds of tiring tests, I'm now sure it's the VPS plugin the responsible.
As a final word, in case you wonder, the freezes happen even if there is no timer set on those RaiHD channels mentioned above.
Of course, there are other timers set for other channels, maybe, but the freezes occur even when they are not running.

I am having the same problem. I noticed that if I switch off the Oscam, the box doesn't freeze. Also if I leave the box on any other Tivusat channel with oscam running, the box continues to run without any problem.

I have the same problem and I partially solved it.
It happens mainly on RAI 1-2-3 HD, these services are mostly FTA and sometimes encrypted, the issue start when the channel goes from encrypted to FTA.
I have a Tivusat card with CAID 183D and I use Oscam with DVBAPI, this is what happens example with RAI 2 HD:
-I do the transponder scan and the channel is FTA, Oscam does nothing and it's all ok
-the channnel goes from FTA to encrypted, the various CAID appear, Oscam does his work and it's all ok
-the channel returns to FTA and here there can be two situations:
first case, the CA PMT is updated and a new CAID 0000 with ECMPID 1FFF appears (users without a tivusat card can have problems here)
second case, the CA PMT is updated and the NAGRA CAID stay there but all with ECMPID 1FFF
In both these cases Oscam try to descramble the old valid ECMPID (in my case 10CE) which should no longer be present because the channel is now FTA

After 10-20 minutes of that restarting decoding requests, the box hangs and the only solution is turn off the power.
Now if I change the channel and return to RAI 2 HD, only the new pids are seen by oscam.

In this second case it tries with ecmpid 1FFF but the channel is FTA
At this point those strange ecmpid remain in ecm info until the channel return to encrypted and every time I set it the oscam try to descramble the ecmpid 1FFF until the decoder freeze. (only in second case because in the first case the caid 0000 isn't processed as it should)
If the channel return to encrypted before the freeze, Oscam take the correct pid (in my case 10CE) and it works ok

Then I added in oscam.dvbapi this line:

So Oscam ignores the ecmpid 1FFF,this works if the channel is FTA and those stupid pids are in ecm info and it works when is encrypted, but when the channel goes from encrypted to FTA, what you see in log1 second case happens.
If I delete RAI 2 HD from channel list when there are those pids 1FFF and rescan the transponder,it returns FTA without ecmpids.
For those without a tivusat card that line in oscam.dvbapi should solve the issue like in log2 first case
For those with the card, there should be a setting to stop Oscam doing those things but i haven't found it
So where is the problem? RAI? OSCAM? ENIGMA2?
