That would suggest some mapping is done low level, in the drivers, which in turn suggests the manufacturer needs to fix it.

How will it be possible to get this information to the manufacturer?

Thanks

I don’t think the manufacturer will actually care that HDMI-CEC doesn’t perform like you like it to be.

If you are willing to explain in a clear way what should be changed, I am willing to forward your message.
I can’t test it myself as my test TV doesn’t respond on HDMI-CEC at all and I refuse to connect all kind of testboxes on my LG OLED.

The test is the other way around, so control the box with the remote of the TV.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Unfortunately you can't control the box with the TV remote, I can control the sound on AV Onkyo with the TV remote but I can't change the channel on the box, go to the info page and nothing else

Yes, I know that, that is the point of this, If Frenske has to to explain to the manufacturer exactly what the problem is, he needs to understand that.

Somewhere in the hardware or software there is a translation between the CEC signal and CEC command code, and from CEC command code to key code.

We have no idea where it goes wrong, from the tests of Pr2, appearently already in the first step, because he sees the same CEC command codes for the different keys on the TV remote.

HDMI cec it does not wake up the receiver. Interestingly, only the pulse4k has this problem, the ultimo4k and the Viper 4K V40 wake it up without a problem. There could be a software problem here.

More likely a signal level incompatibility between box and TV. There are more combinations that have issues.

It sends the correct commands, the rest is hardware.

The Pulse4K is capable to turn on TV but it is adviced to set the minimal delay to send message to 50 ms that's the way I setup my Pulse 4K.

But there is an issue when there are 2 STB connected on the same TV, when I was testing the Pulse4K and the VU+ Duo4K on the same TV it was a real nightmare to have the TV to switch to the right entry. The TV after a very long time switch to the right entry. But wake-up / shutdown of the TV always works properly for me with the Pulse 4K (tested on Samsung, Panasonic and Sony TVs).
