I have a problem with my uClan Ustym 4K found in the playback of some vods (.mkv .mp4) you hear audio without video, and others no audio and no video, I update it with the latest version, 8.1 but nothing to do.

 

I also have a h9.2h which by updating to version 8.1 everything works perfectly.

 

What can I do? advice? Thanks!

Check the vods to see what exact audio and video codec is used.

 

And if possible cut a small piece from the vod that has issues on the Ustym4Kpro and works fine on the H9, so we have material to test with.

That doesn't sound ok. How do the gbtrio4k and sf8008 do it, as they are identical in hardware?

Controlla i vod per vedere quale codec audio e video esatto viene utilizzato.

 

E se possibile, taglia un piccolo pezzo dal vod che ha problemi sull'Ustym4Kpro e funziona bene sull'H9, quindi abbiamo materiale con cui testare.

As mentioned, h9 uses ffmpeg and the internal service hisilicon.
This is similar to exteplayer3.

Uclan you should try installing the service app and using the exteplayer3.

Leave everything as it is on the h9, because it's optimal the way it is.

I tried to install everything ... ffmpeg, exteplayer3, gstplayer, serviceapp, unfortunately it doesn't work

You mean they also don't use servicehisilicon? I've got an SF8008, I can test that next week.

If the bsp does not specify any other mediaservice, then the pli engine servicemp3 applies

How the playback then works depends on the closed source libs.
At octagon they seem to be good.

Conversely, we can simply build the servicehisi with Uclan (test).

I just looked at the local build, yes the uclan is only built with servicemp3

I've enabled an attempt at a simplified test of the uclan in py3.

next build py3 uclan builds with activetaed servicehisilicon.

Unfortunately it doesn't work! audio only and some without audio without video.
Servicemp3 is located in the systemplugin folder. Where are playbin and dvbmediasink located?

It was more meant for the devs who want to change to service-hisilicon�

But for your understanding. servicemp3 uses GStreamer's playbin, which probably will select dvbmediasink for AVC for showing it on screen.

Wait for the next build.

Currently the last download is 12.04.22 at Uclan py3 (experimental)

So you can try everything that comes after that and give feedback.
It's all about media handling.
So you don't need to test the image completely.
Save your settings separately beforehand or simply use a free multiboot slot for the test.
Capacity will determine when the next new build will be launched.
This is the best way to test whether it is really worth offering this change.
