Some users might find that initial 50% volume(green level) is too low.

Now the MUTE the VOLUME UP/DOWN should work, for controling your STB. Model specific image should contain that info* how to toggle volume control.

cec-client(with that tool we can also see that vendor is unknown and menu lang. ??? while CEC version is 1.3a)

first thing you will need to do is scan for available devices that are advertising that they have CEC capability

Maybe users would appreciate some kind of easter eggs?

Picons are channel logos which are linked to one or more TV channels using a service reference or a simplified version of the channel name.

Anyhow, it should be safe to set vol to max if AV rec. is not present. Some users prefer to use only TV vol control for most time between 12-20%.

Another small issue which might confuse Homer like users...

Sorry I really don't understand what you mean.

Some remarks the VU+ RCU for the 4K models have some kind of universal capability.  If you use them out-of-box the VOL+/VOL- and mute control the audio volume on the STB (so with the vertical left bar-graph with the default skin) no problem you can control the volume.  BUT if you define the universal control code of your TV Brand in the VU+ RCU then the VOL+/VOL- and Mute are no longer sending the STB code but the TV Infrared code, you will see the difference when adjusting the volume it will be the TV one that will be displayed.

So if you want to adjust the volume on your STB you need to turn expert mode on, then in the GUI settings define to use the left/right arrow to adjust volume, so when using left/right you will see the OpenPLi volume bar and you can adjust the STB audio level.

Then you return in the menu and disable this feature (another option is to use OpenWebif to adjust the STB Audio level).

In the HDMI-CEC the option to forward the volume key is often not working with TV (the TV simply ignore it) but it is working if you use an intermediate A/V amplifier between the STB and the TV.

What is your problem with picon, I have no idea?

The issue is purely cosmetic there is not enough room to display the whole string so it is splitted into 2 lines.
