No idea, I haven't used Windows for many, many years.

I assume you copy and pasted the name including the dot from somewhere, instead of typing in the utf8 character? If so, if the source you copied it from isn't utf8, the pasted result isn't.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Good

It appears (busybox) ls related. I copied a bullet from Wikipedia (unicode) and:

# > ••••.txt
# ls
????.txt
# echo *
••••.txt
# rm ••••.txt
# rm ••••.txt
rm: can't remove '••••.txt': No such file or directory

If I do this on a raspberry pi, ls shows bullets, not question marks.

A bug was filed years ago, but it should be fixed in our version...
