On a home network, two computers share their disks. They are added to OpenPLI 8.2 by standard means (as in all previous versions of OpenPLI).

Yes, and?

I still have no clue what your problem is.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

After an update, or a flash? What do you mean with "network resources are not added"?

Upgrading is not possible, only fresh installation. This is the first public release of version 8.2.

Not out of flash space? Not in all cases is an update possible, epsecially on old boxes with limited flash memory.

Yes.

So 192.168.1.2 is a Windows machine? Does it have a share called "D", or are you trying to connect to the hidden share D$ ? And I assume you entered a username and password?

SMBv1 and guest logins have been disabled everywhere for quite some time, but if it is waiting for a timeout, eventually it will fall through, and you can restart enigma in debug mode so you have a debug log you can look into.\

I don't have anything running Windows, so if other users can report their experience?

This is something a developer needs to look at.

Yes, 192,168.1.2 is a Windows machine.
And it has a share named "D".
Access without a password, that's how it's configured.
In release 8.1 and earlier, there were no problems with connecting to network resources, as in other Enigma2 images for Zgemma H9 Twin. This problem also appeared some time ago in the Develop image.
I don't have time to further test the 8.2 release, so I'll wait for the 8.2 authors to fix the problem and continue using the 8.1 release.

Older code used to try the user "guest" (if needed with password "guest") if nothing was filled in.

This has been removed quite recently since current security requirements mean this support is being phased out (both Linux and Windows). So you might try that, it could you have enabled guest access on your Window device.

The problem is that an external application that received a transcoded stream on port 8002 in the previous version of openpli now reports an error and no stream.

Thanks for the comprehensive answer.
After entering the login "guest" and password "guest" network resources are added without problems.
PS. Their incorrect sorting remained in the list of storage devices, but you can put up with this and wait for a decision from the authors.

I don't own a Uno 4K, but I have no problem on the Duo 4K or the Solo 4K, both on port 8002.

Example for NPO1 HD:

Open the web interface, and press on the phone icon in front of a channel. Does a transcoded stream start?
