No problems.....go to downloads section and download usb2serial drivers, Im using CCcam and the config should look like this for local user:

SERVER LISTEN PORT : 1234
SERIAL READER : /dev/usb/tts/0 smartreader+
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/usb/tts/0 6000000

Reboot

Thats it...piss easy.

Thanks

So you are using the standard CCcam setting, how about posting /var/etc/CCcam.cfg so others can see please.

SERIAL READER : /dev/usb/tts/0 smartreader+
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/usb/tts/0 6000000
this text needs to be added to any ccam config. in var/etc
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY can be changed according to your card

Hi,

I tried all this on my DM7000 with PLi Jade2, and dmesg shows me the following:

ftdi_sio 1-1:1.0: FTDI FT232BM Compatible converter detected
usb 1-1: FTDI FT232BM Compatible converter now attached to ttyUSB0
drivers/usb/core/usb.c: registered new driver ftdi_sio
drivers/usb/serial/ftdi_sio.c: v1.4.1:USB FTDI Serial Converters Driver
drivers/usb/serial/usb-serial.c: USB Serial support registered for Belkin / Per com / GoHubs USB Serial Adapter
drivers/usb/core/usb.c: registered new driver belkin
drivers/usb/serial/belkin_sa.c: USB Belkin Serial converter driver v1.2
drivers/usb/serial/usb-serial.c: USB Serial support registered for PL-2303
drivers/usb/core/usb.c: registered new driver pl2303
drivers/usb/serial/pl2303.c: Prolific PL2303 USB to serial adaptor driver v0.11

So, from what I see, it is recognized and hooked up to ttyUSB0. Just to be on the safe side, I added these lines to my config:

SERIAL READER : /dev/ttyUSB0 smartreader+
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/ttyUSB0 3570000

SERIAL READER : /dev/usb/tts/0 smartreader+
SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/usb/tts/0 3570000

But my CCcam still reports the following:

card reader /dev/ttyUSB0
no or unknown card inserted

card reader /dev/usb/tts/0
no or unknown card inserted

While my seca2 card, which runs @ 3570000 is inside, with the chip in the right direction.
Does anyone have any idea? I am using the latests CCcam 2.1.0

try it without the 3.57Mhz frequency, let CCcam detect the card or set the frequency to 8Mhz, my seca3 card runs fine with this 8Mhz, i get ecm times up to 0.25 secs ;)

on the Glassfibre 1GB DVB-C...
