Hello,

i just encountered a strange problem with zapstream on my Duolabs Qbox One. (The Qbox is almost same hardware as a dreambox, and is also running enigma1)

For streaming to my PC i copied the zapstream binary and config file from Pli-Jade-DM500 Image to my qbox (running latest sifteam image) and connected it to port 31344 with inetd. Streaming works fine, but only for exactly 28 seconds! Then it begins to stutter and hangs. When i switch to a different channel, streaming works again for another 28s.

I played around with settings in zapstream.conf and checked the logfile with no result. Streamts also works fine.

Do you have any idea what might cause this?

any help would really be appreciated!
:-)

Strange indeed.
But I have a few experiences which resemble your description. Those were all with vlc 0.9.x. Please use vlc 0.8.6 and see if it makes a difference. That doesn't explain why streamts does work, but it is the only thing I can think of right now.
Could you post the logfile, so I can see for myself?

I tried with vlc 0.8.6a (linux) today. same result :-(

Here's the requested logfile with logread/writespeed =1.

The initial channel works fine. First zap at 11:28:27 - stream stops working at 11:28:56.

Thanks for looking at it!

The logfile shows nothing weird, it just continues streaming. Strange indeed. I don't have an answer.
