Ehi, I bought an Uclan Ustym 4K Pro and installed official Openpli 8.2... In the video settings (expert mode) there isn't option to adjust "Scaler Sharpness". If I install the "videoenhancement plugin" in extensions I can see the new menu "Video enhancement settings" where I can adjust brightness, contrast, dynamic contrast and also shaprness, but this is not like "scaler shaprness" that I have active on my old decoder Evo E3HD with image Openpli 4... How can I use the scaler sharpness? Thanks

no hardware support, what do you see in terminal when you give command

dir /proc/stb/vmpeg/0/

do you see any pep_scaler_sharpness , if it is missing there is nothing you can do

dir /proc/stb/vmpeg/0/pep_scaler_sharpness
-r--r--r--    1 root     root             0 Jul 18 18:20 /proc/stb/vmpeg/0/pep_scaler_sharpness

cat /proc/stb/vmpeg/0/pep_scaler_sharpness
0000001A

You are right... There isn't any "pep_scaler_sharpness" file.... It's limitation of Hisilicon cpu on all decoder with this cpu so? Thanks for your quick reply...

Either a hardware limitation, or not implemented in the drivers.

I've checked the Zgemma H9, the Mutant HD66SE and the Octagon SF8008 (identical to the Ustym4KProi), none of them have this option.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Btw, when you will install 'videoenhancement' plugin (from feed -systemplugins), then there could be item "Sharpness" for upscaled picture (tried on Zgemma H9).

Yes, I said that on my first post. But sharpness adjust is not the same. It's different, the image is blurry. I have an old decoder with Openpli 4 and in there I have  "scaler sharpness" and normal "sharpness" from videoenhancement plugin, I can adjust both and they don't produce same result, "scaler sharpness" is different...
