@el bandido:

Thanks.  Will try it.

@Wanwizard:

mkdir ~/some-dir
cd
~/some-dir
git clone https
://github.com/OpenPLi/openpli-oe-core.git -b hardknott-py3
cd openpli-oe-core
git clone https
://github.com/DynamicDevices/meta-mono.git -b hardknott
make

and then to only build mono:

cd ~/some-dir

cd openpli-oe-core

cd build
source env
.source
MACHINE
=<yourbox> bitbake -c build mono

The last commands have to be run from the build folder.

Nothing builds.

Looks like you need to build first an image.

I tried the above on the develop branch for which I already build an image, and there it works.

Will confirm this also for the hardknott branch.

One other thing.  Do not use the -p flag.  It is parse only.  Nothing builds.

PS:  Everything has been a bit delayed.  My daughter is on vacation and I have to feed her cats and chickens each day.

Today I found out that the electricity was off.  Already fixed it for the freezer and fridge.  But I have still to find out where the problem is.

This is going to take my complete sunday, I guess.

There hould be no need to build an image first, bitbake will build all dependencies when needed.

I went a slightly different way.
First mono was added to the openpli-oe-core folder as mentioned earlier. Then mono was added to the build:
openpli-oe-core/meta-openpli/recipes-openpli/images/openpli-enigma2-image.bb

Hopefully this was a correct way of doing this.

If you want to add it to the build, it's better to create a bbappend in meta-local, to avoid merge conflicts when you update your openpli-oe-core clone.

The mono project runs these days on ARM processors. See:

https://www.mono-pro...-platforms/arm/

Is there any chance of compiling mono for ARM-enigma2 receivers?

I am using a Maxytec - Multibox SE with an ARM processor.

So are many other receiver (I believe the VU+ 4K models too)

I am interested in this to run Webgrab++ directly on the receiver.

For this mono is needed.

It will be slow, but for something like 100 channels it would be sufficient.

I cannot figure out how to do this myself.

Help is appreciated.

Why not run the linux version of WebGrab+Plus via github actions in command line and publish the outcome for all like https://github.com/O...r/etc/epgimport ?

I will continue with this.

Although I ran into a couple of problems, which caused me to put this on the back burner.

1. Problems with my Linux PC and Webgrab++ for the compilation of the daily updates.

2. A sudden power outing in our street, which also damaged some of my equipment.
