What is hosting OpenWEbif and some torrent web UIS ?

so hello i am trying to host some html pages as webserver on my setobox i am using openpli, and i see that openwebif is running on local host and also i installed transmision which also works but what is hosting them? i want to setup virtual server my own, without instaling apache nor httpd, i noticed there is ndg httpclient installed but i dont see any documentation on it or anything how is it all hosted without apache ?

It isn't really hosted. OpenWebIF creates the webservice itself with Twisted Web. I think you can hook into it, but I don't know how. Or you could write a plugin that creates its own twisted.web server, on a different port.

Indeed, it isn't a website, it is a web based application.

 

Making the box a webserver, especially if you want to expose it to the internet, is a very bad idea due to the absense of any security, at any level.


Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.
