hello,

I have a sound problem with openpli 8.2, there are channels that make me "stutter" when I get on it, both satellite channels and terrestrial rake antenna,
I have to zap to make this phenomenon disappear,

I put "Downmix AC3" in "passthrough", we talked about it in a post that I can't find anymore, we hear better, but why these stutters?

if I go back to openpli 8.1 (multi boot image selector reboot), I no longer have this phenomenon!! but there we no longer have this same setting of its AC3!

Any ideas ?

Set the expert mode to "User Mode" and open Audio/Video again.

Sorry I cannot verify any 'bug' here with stuttering audio... can you give a bit more information. What channel etc...?

No, your expression is not correct. YOU experience a real bug with sound on OpenPLi 8.2.

 

And regarding an issue in 8.2 as Littlesat I can’t confirm what you experience.

 

Any details, like which channels etc., might help so solve your local issue.

as you could have seen in my post from yesterday i can confirm there is a problem with the audio on sat + iptv channels. it affects all channels and i am not able to say what the problem is. the sound interrupt for a half of second and continues. tried different player but still got the same result.

The last detail is on which hardware do you experience your issue? I have never experienced it until now besides one or two incidents.

I am using a VU+ Uno 4K with the latest OpenPLI image.

Ok, now most details are clear I can only respond that is definitely a local issue.

If this would have been a structural issue in our image the board would have been flooded with similar reports. 

 

Perhaps you can post a screenshot of your audio-settings and is your box connected to an sound-system or directly via hdmi to your TV? It is hard to offer a possible solution / hint how to solve this not knowing all hardware.

Yes, it seems to me that it is due to audio connection, but it only does it in V8.2, not in V8.1 !!

I recorded when I had this sound problem, the recording is good, no problem re -reading,

So I think the decoration+TV+sound bar set create this phenomenon,

 

In AV setting, video output, I am in 2160p mode, can be put back in 1080p?

 

Weird anyway,

Next time, I record the TV screen and the sound returned with external device,

Are these recordings come from iptv or do they come from DVB-S/T/C?..... 

I suggest you prefer 2160p as output... also maybe exchange HDMI cable might help... It looks like your TV and/or surround set has issues of synchronizing the audio (via HDMI CEC)

Open Audio/Video and change setup "3D surround"/"3D surround speaker position"/"3D surround softlimiter".

Hi,
I joined this Forum exactly for the Same Problem. My Setup is Edision mini using the SAT-IP Client Plugin connected to an Onkyo Tx sr508 via HDMI cable and an Optoma FullHD Beamer. I also encounter Sound Problems on SD Channels. Some of them work (RTL Television, AC3 Audio) others don‘t (VOX, MPEG Audio), I can‘t hear anything. The Problem doesn‘t occur with HD Channels.

I agree with the member that there Must be a bug in the SW. Or is there any Setting to correct the Problem? I don‘t use the downmix Feature, but it doesn‘t make a difference.

I hope someone can analyze this bug, as I‘m at least the second one with it.
