Ow, OpenPLi 4, that's really old... Download a recent OpenPLi and install from USB per these instructions: https://wiki.openpli...h_Vu.2B_Solo_SE
If it doesn't work, try different USB sticks. In general, older and smaller USB sticks are more likely to work. Make sure it's formatted as FAT32.

hi
Download openpli 8.2 on your PC and copy and paste it in your new USB.
Turn off your receiver and plug the USB into the back of the receiver.
Now turn on the receiver, the LED of the receiver will flash three times after which it will start flashing.
After about seven minutes your image will be installed,
Then turn off the receiver and remove the USB,
Turn on the receiver again your image is ok

There is the slight possibility that you own a clone of the SoloSe (CloudBox 3). This one will only allow VTi 6 or OpenPli 4. If you are sure it actually IS a genuine box you may have a problem with the +5v USB support. You can easily check by putting a USB stick in the box and use the Media Player build in to see if it ‘sees’ the files. If not, your box is faulty. When yes, retry the files..
Use ZIP on a PC, the MAC variant poses problems..

So format the USB key into FAT32 format.
Download the image.
Unzip it.
Copy the vuplus folder from your unzip on the root of the USB flash.
Remove any other connected USB devices.
Power off the box.
Plug the USB stick that has /vuplus/ in the root.
Turn on the box.
Check the blue led once it is flashing quickly the process is terminated.
Here is a full description of the process:
